Innovid Begins Trading on New York Stock Exchange Under Symbol “CTV”

In late Fall 2021, Innovid put the finishing touches on our plans to IPO. As part of the promotion around the launch, we needed to generate copy and content to be featured across the launch campaign, including Innovid’s website, Times Square billboards, party and bus banners, NYSE presentations, sales enablement materials, and more. 

To execute, select marketing team members developed a tagline and core statement.

Take a trip down memory lane and think back to where you were in 2007. How you communicated in the time before the iPhone, what you watched when Netflix still came through your mailbox, when Smart TVs were the stuff of science fiction. Hard to imagine, right? But even then there were glimmers of a new future for TV, YouTube was picking up steam, Hulu was getting ready to exit beta and the first Roku connected TV (CTV) device was on the horizon.

It was that same year that Innovid was founded by a small but tight-knit group of breakthrough thinkers who imagined a better way to reach and engage with consumers. At that point, video had already captured the imagination of people around the globe for over a hundred years, driving cultural and political conversations, from the silver screen to the living room floor, and its influence showed no signs of fatigue. Our name, a promise of innovation in video, imagined a connected future for TV. Now, as audiences make the switch to streaming in droves, brands need a trusted partner, with a foundation in video, to help them confidently navigate the next generation of TV. Today, we take a significant leap forward in that journey, announcing Innovid as a publicly-traded company on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker of CTV.

As data increasingly becomes a brand’s most valuable IP, marketers are spending an inordinate amount of time and money toiling over decisions about which big tech partners to trust, and what tradeoffs they can stomach as a result of those decisions. Innovid’s platform is purpose-built to handle the needs of the modern marketer, while providing a blueprint for the future. In the very beginning, we realized that impact requires infrastructure. Working closely with the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), we developed video standards that the digital ecosystem still relies on today. Since then, we’ve continued that open mindset, focusing on building interoperable, agile tools and technology to foster collaboration, not competition. Numerous automations and external integrations facilitate easy, streamlined, and transparent campaign launches for our clients. With a strong, reliable foundation like Innovid, marketers are empowered to take risks, iterate, and grow in ways that put their customers first. A foundation may not seem flashy at first, but from a strong, forward-looking base, inspiration flourishes.

Innovation is not only in our name, it’s in our DNA. Two years after Innovid was founded, we were granted the world’s first patent to insert interactive objects into video. Since then, we’ve added eighteen more and we’ve got no plans to slow down. We’ve spent the last 14+ years doing things no one has done before - like launching first-to-market interactive and dynamic television formats, being the first to receive MRC accreditation for OTT ad impression measurement and running the first live interactive experience during the biggest television event of the season. Not to mention numerous first-to-market partnerships with industry leading data and TV powerhouses like NBC, LiveRamp, Sony and more. We develop solutions that aren’t just reactionary to the moment, but designed to pave the future.
